General characteristics:

Cumba 4 is part of the hydroelectric complex planned for the river Marañon Medio, which also includes: Chadin 2 (600 MW) and La Balsa (915 MW).

The project was identified by the Peruvian government as a potential project to export energy  to other countries.

Companies:

Odebrecht Perú Ingeniería y Construcción SAC, which is doing the viability studies of the plant, is a part of the Brazilian group Odebrecht.
